As a result of accumulating yellow cards, Richard Boadu, the captain of Asante Kotoko, will be suspended and unable to participate in the team's upcoming match against Berekum Chelsea in the Ghana Premier League.
The match will be held on Friday at the Golden City Park, with Kotoko travelling to face their opponent based in Berekum for matchday 26 of the domestic top-flight.
Boadu's absence will be a significant blow to the team, who are hoping to secure their first victory in Berekum in two seasons.
Despite Kotoko's inconsistent form this season, the former Medeama midfielder has been a vital player.
The team is currently ranked fourth in the Ghana Premier League standings, having accumulated 39 points from 25 matches played.
