Abdul Bashiru, the assistant coach of Hearts of Oak, voiced his dissatisfaction with the team's recent performance in the Ghana Premier League.
After suffering a 1-0 defeat to Accra Lions, marking their fourth loss in five matches, Coach Bashiru pinpointed goal scoring as the primary issue plaguing the team.
Despite promising training performances, he expressed confusion over the team's inability to replicate success during matches.
“Goal scoring is our main problem and it is something we have been facing. In training you see them scoring but we don’t know what is going on. We have to go back and do our correction,” said the Hearts of Oak assistant coach.
Looking ahead to their next match against Berekum Chelsea, Coach Bashiru called upon fans to rally behind the team, emphasizing their capability to secure victory with their support.
“We are not happy. The fans should have confidence in us and back us. We can go to Chelsea and give them the three points,” Coach Bashiru said.
