Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko centre-back, Shilla Alhassan Illiasu, says Hearts of Oak cannot depend on their current form to envisage victory for themselves ahead of their cagey encounter against arch rivals Kumasi ASante Kotoko.

The ex-FC Saturn towering guardsman says it will be erroneous for the Phobian club to rely on their tip-top form to predict success over their sworn rivals Kotoko ahead of their super clash game come Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko and Hearts are billed to lock horns on matchday 21 of the ongoing Ghana Premier League after the former suffered a 4-1 hammering in the hands of Ebusua Dwarfs whilst the latter posted a 1-0 victory against Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday.

"As a player myself and a former Kotoko defender, i had the opportunity to play in such high profile game at El Wak Sports Stadium against Hearts of Oak. Truly speaking, the tension in the game is very massive. But Hearts and Kotoko games are not based on form on deciding the winner of the clash . It involves lots of factors before the outcome of the game can be determined," Shilla told Kickgh.com in an exclusive interview.

He added: "Hearts of Oak can't rely on their current form to just conclude that they can easily win the match following Kotoko's heavy defeat against Dwarfs. Though, the game is going to be a massive one but current form will not play any role in this cagey encounter. We hope to witness a great and an exciting game on Sunday."

Shilla Illiasu was an integral member of the Kumasi Asante Kotoko squad in the 2005/2006 GPL campaign.
