Ghana Premier League heavyweights Accra Hearts of Oak are on the verge of securing the services of Nations FC centre-back Michael Awuah Mensah.

According to Oyerepa FM journalist Obed Acheampong, the Phobians have made a proposal and are at the front of the queue to secure the services of the talented 23-year-old centre-back, who is expected to leave Nations FC this summer.

Rivals Asante Kotoko are reportedly also in the mix, but it appears Hearts of Oak have gained the upper hand in negotiations.

The two clubs have agreed on a fee for Awuah Mensah's transfer, but personal terms with the player have yet to be finalized.

The Ghana Premier League star made 28 appearances for Nations FC last season and is highly sought after by several top-flight clubs.
