Hearts of Oak secured a back-to-back win with a 1-0 narrow win over newbies Kotoku Royals at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday.
Striker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh (31st minute) was the goalscorer for the Phobians after converting the penalty which later turned out to be the only goal of the game.
Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matić bemoaned his excitement for the victory, but conceded that his team could have played a lot better, and he specifically rued the squandered chances.
"We must play more with the ball like we did in the first half. We created more chances in the second half but we sat back a little we should have changed the system and formation but we did what is necessary for the team," Matić stated in a post-match interview.
"We did what is good which is to keep a clean sheet, but for a better performance for the team, I think we should run more with the ball."
The win has yanked Hearts to the 6th spot with 8 points. They will host Karela United on Saturday, November 12 on match day 6 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
