Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Samuel Boadu has blamed his team's lacklustre form in the just ended season on injuries, which cost the club dearly.

 

The Phobians finished the 2021/22 season on 6th placed with 48 pionts after succumbing to a 4-1 defeat to Real Tamale United on final day of the Ghana Premier League at their favorite Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

 

There was less positives to pick from the 'Rainbow Lads' despite Seidu Suraj breaking the virginity of the game in the 9th minute.

 

Speaking to pressmen after the match, Boadu said; “The injury problem, because lots of players in the first team got injury, Salifu Ibrahim, Addo Sowah and Nurudeen Abdul Aziz.

 

"It got to a point Barnieh was not feeling well and traveled, but I think this is the team we had to depend on and that cost us,” he concluded.
