Former Ghana Premier League-winning coach, Bashiru Hayford, has disclosed that Hearts of Oak approached him for the head coach position of the first team.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Coach Bashiru Hayford revealed that Hearts of Oak contacted him, and he promptly submitted his CV.
He expressed his readiness to work for the Phobians, stating, “Yes, Hearts of Oak contacted me, and I sent them my CV. The approach was made when they were going to play Gold Stars”
“If they think the current coach is underperforming and therefore my service is needed, I will be very happy to join them,” Coach Bashiru Hayford said.
This development follows reports suggesting that Hearts of Oak is considering parting ways with head coach Martin Koopman due to the team's challenging start to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League.
While the status of Koopman's position remains uncertain, it is evident that fans are displeased with the team's current form.
