Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Abdul Aziz Nurudeen has left the shores of Ghana on Saturday for South Africa to undergo a knee operation, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.
The 23-year-old has endured an injury-plagued career at Hearts of Oak since joining them from second-tier outfit Vision FC in 2020.
Nurudeen returned from a five-month layoff in June 2021 but suffered another knee injury during Hearts of Oak last season's campaign after an impressive performance against Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Kickgh.com can exclusively report that the former Ghana U23 box-to-box midfielder, who flew out to South Africa on Saturday is is expected to go under the knife on Monday.
The duration of his recovery and rehabilitation process will be announced by the medical team of Hearts of Oak after the operation.
Nurudeen has made only 24 appearances for Hearts of Oak in all competitions for the club since his arrival at the club in 2020.
