Hearts of Oak midfielder, Abdul Aziz Nurudeen is set to fly out to South Africa in the coming days for a surgery on his knee to get him fully fit for the upcoming season.

The 23 year old has been battling injuries since joining the 'Phobians' despite establishing himself as one of the fans favourite in the capital.

The Black Meteors middleman couldn't start the just ended season but chipped in, in the second phase and had an amazing spell, notably games against RTU and Asante Kotoko.

However, the player once again couldn't complete the season fully fit after sustaining a knock in the latter part of the season, reason he missed out in the MTN FA Cup final.

According to reports, the player is still battling a knee injury and is set to depart the country to South Africa for a surgery at the Blue Valley Clinic in Pretoria.

He becomes the latest Hearts of Oak player to hold this operation after Mamani Lawali and Daniel Kodie in recent times and will hope to recover fully for the 2022/23 campaign.
