Accra Hearts of Oak have officially announced the formation of a Recruitment Committee as part of efforts to bolster the squad ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
According to a club statement released on June 17, 2025, the new committee comprises members from the Board, Management, and Technical Team, and has already initiated a thorough evaluation of potential signings. The process includes performance assessments and scouting of players whose profiles align with the club’s tactical direction.
The Phobians are particularly focused on signing players with proven Premier League experience, while using data-driven analytics to identify areas of the squad that require strengthening. The club also confirmed that discussions with clubs of some shortlisted targets are progressing well.
In addition to scouting new talent, the club is reviewing the roles of current players to ensure alignment with its long-term objectives. Hearts management noted that some existing players may be released if they do not meet the required standards.
“We are dedicated to building a competitive team that supports the club’s ambitions,” the statement read. “The Phobia family and fans can expect regular updates on our progress during the transfer window.”
Hearts of Oak also thanked fans for their continued support and confirmed that the team will resume training on Friday, June 20, 2025, in preparation for the new campaign.
