Rene Hiddink, the Technical Director of Hearts of Oak, expressed his disappointment after his team was eliminated from the FA Cup competition.

The Phobians suffered an early setback with a defeat to Nania FC at the Pobiman Sports Complex.

Although Hearts of Oak had many chances, they couldn’t convert them into goals and the game ended in a goalless draw after 90 minutes.

Nania FC, who relied on counter breaks, proved to be superior in the penalty shootout, winning 4-3.

Hiddink acknowledged the opponent’s performance and said it was disappointing to be out of the FA Cup, but he praised his team’s good performance.

“We must win this game. it’s very disappointing that we are out of the FA Cup but complement to our opponent. We lost but we exhibited a good performance” he told Vision 1 FM.

Hearts of Oak will now focus on the Ghana Premier League after their elimination from the Cup competition.
