Former midfielder of Hearts of Oak, Joe Tagoe has heaped praise on the clubs goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, recognizing him as the best goalkeeper in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Tagoe, who is widely known as Bobby Short, highlighted Asare's impressive clean sheet record and leadership qualities, which he views as evidence of his exceptional performance.
"Asare the way his confidence has reached now everyone will testify that now he is very superb. Sometimes I tell a lot of people that as a goalkeeper it is not a show like diving here and there," he told Happy FM.
"If you look at Asare's performances in recent months you can see that from the way he communicates. The way he talks to defenders, the way he organises them, seriously if you look at that aspect it is very commendable. I believe that his performances are very good," he said.
Asare has managed fifteen clean sheets in twenty-four league games, giving Phobia the chance to keep their title hopes alive as they are currently 6th on the league table with 46 points.
