Highly-rated defender Ruben Hennessy has completed a move to Hearts of Lions, the Ghana Premier League returnees, after departing Tema Youth.
The experienced center-back has inked a three-year contract with the Kpando-based club, preparing for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
Hennessy showcased his talent in the division one league last season and attracted interest from several clubs, including Hearts of Oak. His journey started with Real Athletico in division two before he joined Tema Youth FC in March 2020, where he became a key player.
Hennessy's partnership with Philip Ofori proved formidable as they conceded only 15 goals in 30 games, helping Tema Youth secure a commendable second-place finish in his debut season.
With their promotion to the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Lions are determined to compete and maintain their status in the topflight, and the addition of Ruben Hennessy bolsters their defensive options for the upcoming season.
