Ghana Premier League newcomers Hohoe United are reportedly lining up former Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum as they look to appoint an experienced figure ahead of their debut top-flight campaign.
The newly promoted club is said to be in the market for a high-profile tactician to guide them through their maiden season in the Premier League, and Ogum has emerged as a leading candidate.
Hohoe United earned promotion to the Premier League following a strong output in Zone 3 of the 2024-25 Division One League, racking up 72 points.
Kickgh.com understands that preliminary contact has been made, although talks remain at an exploratory stage.
Ogum, who led Asante Kotoko to the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League title, is currently unattached and widely regarded as one of the most tactically astute coaches in the domestic game.
If appointed, it would mark a significant statement of intent by the Volta Region-based side, who are keen to establish themselves quickly in the top tier.
