Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have confirmed the capture of Hubert Gyan on a four-year contract from Berekum Chelsea in the ongoing transfer window.
The 20-year-old has joined the Porcupine Warriors until the end of the 2028/29 season after passing a mandatory medical examination at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital last weekend.
He joins from Berekum Chelsea, where he made a strong impression over the last two seasons. After breaking into the side in the 2023/24 campaign with a dozen appearances as an 18-year-old, he went on to establish himself as a mainstay, making 27 appearances and becoming a key figure in the middle of the park.
Gyau arrives at the Kumasi-based club as one of the hottest young talents in the Ghanaian top flight. Comfortable playing anywhere across the midfield, he brings composure, energy, and intelligence to the heart of the team.
“I’m proud to be joining Asante Kotoko,” Gyau told Kotoko Media
“I believe this is the right place for me to develop further. My aim is to help the club win things immediately, and to use this opportunity to take another big step in my career by earning a move to a top European club one day.”
Gyau will be part of Asante Kotoko squad for the 2025 President Cup game against Hearts of Oak on July, 6, 2025 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
