Samartex FC head coach, Annor Walker has expressed readiness to take up the Hearts of Oak vacant coaching role but that is only when his current club will agree to release him since he is under contract with them.

The 'Phobians' have jettisoned their coach Samuel Boadu in what is described as a poor start to the season, having picked only two points in the opening three matches.

The race for who succeeds him continues with series of names popping up already, including Dutch gaffer Erik van der Meer who is most likely to start in Accra as the Technical Director.
 
Ex- Kotoko coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum and Annor Walker have also been strongly linked to the job but looks like the latter is out of the race now after landing a Black Stars job in the upcoming World Cup.
 
Speaking on GSP Radio, the ex- Great Olympics coach has expressed his willingness to lead the Rainbow club but admitted it can only materialize when Samartex FC agree. 
 
"I am under contract at FC Samartex and Hearts of Oak wants to buy me from the contract so it will depend on FC Samartex to allow me to go."
 
"Hearts of Oak is a big club and I am willing to join them if they agree everything with Samartex."

Annor Walker is a very experience coach who just recently qualified the Black Galaxies to the 2023 African Nations Championship which will be held in Algeria.
