Hearts of Oak legend, Charles Taylor has wished doom for his former club following their disappointing performance this season and said he wants to see the club relegated from the Ghanaian topflight.

The 'Phobians' have been very abysmal in the season entirely and currently have just a win and four defeats in their last five matches.

The recent one happened to be a very painful 2-0 loss to their eternal rivals Asante Kotoko over the weekend- having lost to them back to back this season after succumbing to a 2-3 home loss in the first round.

Coach Aboubakar Ouattara and his men are at the moment sitting 15th on the league log with 38 points, just a place and two points above the relegation zone and will have to right all wrongs as quick as possible with three matches to play.

Speaking on Angel TV, Charles Taylor, who was an integral member of the club's best ever squad- '64 Battalions', had expressed a huge displeasure and feels the problem starts from the top hierarchy to the technical team and playing body.

He added he wishes to see them relegated so they could get serious and patch up all cracks surrounding the 2000 African champions.

"If necessary, they should go to relegation because of the board and the attitude of the players."

"They should dissolve the board because there's no 'Never Say Die' spirit in the team again."

Hearts of Oak in match-day 32, will host Nations FC to the Ohene Gyan Stadium on Friday, May 31, 2024.
