Dreams FC head coach, Abdul Karim Zito, has expressed his strong desire to secure victory in the 2023 Super Cup and add it to his list of accomplishments.

Zito is set to lead Dreams FC against Premier League champions, Medeama, in the Champion of Champions clash at the Cape Coast Stadium on Sunday, September 3, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 pm.

Having previously guided his team to the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup by winning the Ghana FA Cup last season, Zito is eager to make his mark in this prestigious competition.

In an interview with Accra-based Radio Gold Sports, Zito said, “This is the first time I am controlling a game at this level, the Super Cup and I will be very happy to win it because I will add it to my archives."

He continued, “I have got a lot of trophies on my CV but I am yet to have this opportunity to play the Champion of Champions so this is a very big opportunity, the club and the players to also add it to their CV."

Zito concluded,“So for now we are going to the competition with the objective of winning.” Karim Zito told Radio Gold.

Dreams FC advanced to this stage by eliminating Guinea's Milo FC over two legs, with the first leg ending in a 1-1 draw at the Lansana Conte Stadium in Guinea, and the return fixture in Accra resulting in a 2-1 win for Dreams FC.
