Nana Yaw Amponsah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko, has revealed that coach Prosper Narteh Ogum rejected his apology.

During an interview with Wontumi Sports on Thursday, the CEO shared that he approached coach Ogum to seek forgiveness when Ogum was the head coach of Asante Kotoko.

Amponsah explained that he realized things were not going as smoothly as before and wanted to mend any potential rift between them.

"We hired Prosper Ogum and we achieved success. At a certain point, I knelt down and asked Prosper Ogum to forgive me if I had ever disrespected him because I realized that some things were not working well. However, he declined my apology," Nana Yaw Amponsah disclosed.

Coach Ogum was in charge of Asante Kotoko when the team clinched the Ghana Premier League title at the end of the 2021/22 season.

He subsequently left the club and is reportedly set to become the new head coach of Hearts of Oak in the upcoming season.
