Assistant coach of the Sudanese national team, Ignatius Osei-Fosu has reiterated that Medeama SC wouldn't have sacked him if he had met former Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah earlier.

The former Dreams FC and King Faisal boss says he is now more knowledgeable after meeting and currently working as Appiah's assistant for the Secretarybirds.

Osei-Fosu was relieved of his role as coach of Medeama and Dreams FC after just three matches, which he won none in the fold of the Still Believe in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season.

"I told the President of Medeama, Moses Parker, that If I had met Kwesi Appiah before joining your club, you wouldn't have sacked me. I have learnt a lot from that man," he told Pure Sports.

Former Black Stars safest-pair-of-hands Fatau Dauda is also working as goalkeeper's trainer of the Sudan national team.

Under Appiah's watch, they have been able to record one win and a draw in their first two major games.
