Kofi Agbesimah, captain of Hearts of Oak is bent on leaving the club although he's got a year remaining on his initial two-year contract.

The 27-year-old defender who made the switch to the capital side last season, voiced unmentioned issues with the club as the reason for his unhappiness.

"I'm not happy at Hearts of Oak. I want to leave. When Hearts signed me, If you look at how they hyped me and all that, I wanted to do something that would have made them very happy. But in football, certain things can happen which is very common in football, so that's why I want to leave," he told Kessben Sports.

Last season, the dependable defender featured in 30 league games and scored one goal for Hearts of Oak.

Agbesimah's experience and leadership prowess on and off the field cannot go unnoticed as his exit from the club will be a big blow to the Rainbow-shirted-lads.
