Aduana Stars head coach Yaw Acheampong has described their game against Accra Lions FC as a difficult one and is happy with the performance of his players despite not earning maximum points.

The 'Ogya' lads held the high-flying Lions to a pulsating goalless draw last Monday at the Ohene Gyan Stadium in an entertaining Ghana Premier League match-week 29.

The two-time Ghanaian champions are currently winless in their last three matches having suffered consecutive defeats recently against Goldstars and Karela United at home, including the recent draw but still find themselves in the top four with 43 points.

Reacting to the draw, the enterprising tactician expressed satisfaction over his side's performance and added he is hoping to have a full strength squad for their next game.

"It was a very difficult game but tactically I’m very happy with the performance today. Sometimes you play with what you have. You can see today, it’s not about position, it’s about playing a role," he said after the game.

"Our next game is against Hearts here and I’m happy with the play today. We will have much time to work on the injured players and see if they can come and join us against Hearts."

Aduana Stars play away from home for the second consecutive time when they face giants Hearts of Oak on Saturday, May 18, in Accra.
