Hearts of Oak's number 2, Abdul Rahim Bashiru has admitted their game against Bechem United was really a difficult one despite the win.
The 'Phobians' ended the year and first round with a win after narrowly edging the Hunters by 1-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Ghana Premier League match-day 17.
The game was really a difficult one and was an end to end action right from onset until the real drama unfolded in the dying embers of the game.
The 'Phobians' were awarded a penalty on the 92nd minute after Emmanuel Ababio handled a goal-bound delivery just on the line but unfortunately Ibrahim Salifu couldn't score having fired wide for a goalkick.
Just and when many thought it was over, Ibrahim Salifu sets up substitute Martin Karikari who netted the winner on the 97th minute to leave the 'Phobians' in complete raptures and snatched all the three points.
Speaking on StarTimes after the game, the enterprising gaffer despite being happy confessed it was a tough one and added they were even lucky due to how wasteful their opponents were.
"It was a very difficult game, we were even lucky because they had decent chances to take lead you know but our goalkeeper did very well and the two changes I made in the second half brought life to the team.
"When Martin and Linda came on they really helped us and that's why we won the game."
Hearts of Oak wrapped up the year with just four wins, four loses and nine draws and are currently on the 9th spot with 21 points.
