Head coach of Karela United, Abukari Damba Abdul Rahman after the defeat to Hearts of Oak, has confessed their opponents were by far the better side and deserved to run out with all three maximum points.
The 'Phobians' exhibited a great team spirit to fight from behind to beat the 'Pride and Passion' outfit by 3-1 in an epic week 25 clash last Saturday night at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
Mohammed Humin Dafie scored early to break the deadlock for the visitors but a brace from Hamza Issah coupled with Salim Adams' thunderbolt was enough to complete the comeback.
The ex- Black Stars goalkeeper after the game, admitted they were only chasing shadows throughout and deserved no point in today's game but added he hopes they improve in their subsequent games. He said on StarTimes;
"I must be disappointed but Hearts of Oak were a delight to watch. They played with so much momentum and took their chances and that's what football is all about so they deserved to win."
"We did not create enough chances. In as much as we scored first, we went to sleep so we didn't create enough thoughtless of converting them."
Karela United have lost their last two league matches and are currently found in the relegation zone with 30 points.
They will host Accra Lions at the Naa Sheriga Sports Center on Friday, April 19, in the opening fixture of the next round of matches.
