Expressing his joy after Asante Kotoko's triumph over Bofoakwa Tano in Week 17 of the Ghana Premier League, assistant coach David Ocloo commended the team's remarkable 2-0 victory.
The Porcupine Warriors concluded the first half of the campaign on a high note, securing the win that propelled them to the second spot on the league table.
Steve Mukwala's exceptional brace played a pivotal role in Asante Kotoko's success, showcasing a strong finish to the initial part of the season.
Ocloo, sharing his thoughts on the impressive performance, stated, "It’s amazing. I told you we are going to work and get a decent result, and we’ve gotten more than a decent result. We were more purposeful in front of goal even though we squandered a lot of chances."
Despite a challenging start to the season, Asante Kotoko's resurgence in the latter part of the first round displayed unity and determination among the players.
With 29 points, they now occupy the second position, trailing leaders Samartex by a mere three points.
