Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, the coach of Asante Kotoko, acknowledges that his team's loss to Great Olympics was a disappointment.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat against the Wonder Club in the ongoing 2023/24 Ghana Premier League, highlighting areas for improvement in the final phase of the game.
Reflecting on the match, Dr. Ogum lamented the missed opportunity, particularly Steven Mukwala's saved penalty attempt, which he attributed to sheer bad luck.
"I think it’s a good team, the players, individually, they are good, as a group too they are good. It’s just one of those bad days at the office," he commented to StarTimes.
"Steven was always running behind the defence but unfortunately, it’s that he couldn’t connect that penalty that’s the only shortfall," he added.
Despite the setback, Asante Kotoko sits in 10th position on the league table with 43 points. They are set to face Real Tamale United before concluding their season with a home fixture against relegated Bofoakwa Tano.
