Berekum Chelsea captain Zakaria Fuseini apologized to the fans after they suffered defeat in a Ghana Premier League outstanding Match Week 21 clash.
Daniel Adrian Adjetey sent the hosts ahead in the 79th minute, which later turned out to be the only goal as the Porcupine Warriors bagged the three points at stake at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.
Shattered' Fuseini asked for forgiveness from the fans, assuring they will turn things around as quickly as possible.
“I would like to apologise on behalf of my teammates for the defeat against Kotoko. We are sorry for disappointing our cherished fans. We had promised to secure all points at stake for them but we have failed them," he told GHANAsoccernet
“We played a good game against Kotoko. In football, it’s either you win, lose or draw but it is unfortunate we lost the match.”
The hard-fought victory against the Bibires has moved Kotoko to the top of the Ghana Premier League table with 45 points, while Berekum Chelsea are 9th with 32 points after 24 rounds of matches in the ongoing season.
