Asante Kotoko have just announced the signing of enterprising midfielder Emmanuel Antwi and he has expressed a great joy after completing the move having described it as a 'childhood dream'
Antwi, agreed to a three-year deal with the Kumasi-based team, after arriving in Kumasi earlier this morning by air and has passed all medical examinations.
The former Black Starlets midfielder parted ways with his former club Great Olympics with few months left on his contract and has already sent them a heartfelt message expressing his gratitude and wishing them well for the future.
He had an impressive season with the 'Dade' outfit, having scored 6 goals in 26 games and provided 5 assists. He also won multiple MVP awards for his outstanding performances.
Reacting to the move, the 24-year-old expressed elation and has added he is looking forward to helping the Porcupine Warriors achieve more success now that he's finally made his childhood dream happened in reality.
"I am thrilled to be here as it has been a childhood dream of mine to play for Kotoko. I am excited to wear the jersey and look forward to contributing to the team. Knowing some of the current players will help me settle in quickly and focus on the task ahead."
Emmanuel Antwi will join his new teammates at the Adako Jachie training complex this week to begin training ahead of the upcoming Democracy Cup game against Hearts of Oak.
He becomes their fourth signing in the just-opened transfer window having already snatched Emmanuel Boahen and two Sudanese duo of Esmat Abdalhamid and Abdoelkarem AbdoelRahman.
