Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of talented forward Dogo Yakubu in the ongoing transfer window. 

The 21-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Kumasi-based outfit after completing the mandatory medical examination earlier today. 

He becomes the second player to join Asante Kotoko in this January transfer window after the arrival of Prince Badu, who joined the club from Nations FC.

Dogo Yakubu is known for his pace, movement, and eye for goal, he represents a long-term attacking investment for the club as it continues to build for the future. 

Speaking after his unveiling, the lethal forward says joining Asante Kotoko is very huge for his career and is looking forward on giving his best in order to leave on high applause

“I’m still young, and I believe I have a huge chance here to make a name for myself. Joining Kotoko is a big opportunity for my career, and I’m grateful for the trust the club has shown in me,” Yakubu told the club's official website.

He added: “I’m ready to work hard, learn every day, and take my chances when they come. I want to improve, score goals, and help the team succeed.”

The Asante Kotoko's new striker, who will be wearing jersey no. 42 at the club, scored over 30 goals during his stay at the third-tier club and his addition is to bolster the attacking department with Kwame Opoku and Morifing

Yakubu is expected to commence training with his new teammates on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at the Adako Jachie training complex.
