Abukari Damba, the head coach of Karela United, finds motivation in their recent 1-0 triumph against Asante Kotoko during match week 20 of the Ghana Premier League.

Ibrahim Giyasi's decisive goal secured the victory for the Pride and Passion team at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in Nalerigu.

In his post-match remarks, the former Ghana international acknowledged the significance of defeating the record Ghana Premier League champions.

“The higher you go, the more difficult it becomes. This victory is for today. It is gone, it will not come any other day,” Damba emphasized.

He continued, “So we need to keep working towards more victories and I think we will put this behind us but then, it's a motivating factor you can't take that away from anybody, beating Kotoko is a huge thing to do and I think we are very elated.”

Despite the win, Karela United maintains their 15th position with 20 points in the league standings.
