The Porcupine Warriors are back on winning path with a precious victory over Young Apostles on Wednesday dusk in a very difficult game and coach Abdul Karim Zito sees it as a vital win and is left very excited.  

The Porcupine Warriors despite handed a very tough fixture still managed to prevail with a 2-1 win in an outstanding match-day six game of the Ghana Premier League. 

After a goalless first-half, Hubert Gyau set the second half ablaze with a thunderous strike to open the scoring account in the 51st minute but was surprisingly levelled up by Richmond Opoku in just two minutes. 

The Reds were awarded a penalty late in the game after Joseph Ablorh was pulled down in the box. Skipper Samba O’Neil took responsibility and converted nicely to win the game. 

In a post-match conference, the experienced gaffer was very elated and full of praises for the progress his captain Samba O’Neil has made so far and is even thinking of convincing him to switch nationality and play for Ghana 

"So now when you go to the field it is the ability and capability of the players I will tell you when the goalkeeper go to the left try right. Then you said you are coming the ball is here because it is your thinking it is your judgment I think we were troubled I think they should back up this is what happened on the field I was I talk talk but at the end of the day I am happy that we have won," he said after the game.

“Samba O'Neil is exceptional, and I have started trying to convince him to switch nationality to Ghana, then we can figure out the next step."

Asante Kotoko after the win halted their two-game drawing run and have climbed to the fifth position on the log with 19 points. They will hit the road to Samreboi to take on FC Samartex next.
