Chief Executive Officer of Tamale City FC, Mohammed Iddi has disregarded allegations labelled on them by King Faisal for double registration of a player and has described that action as nothing but a palpable fallacy.

These claims popped up after their emphatic 4-0 win over the 'Insha Allah' side in an epic GPL match-day 30 tie at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

King Faisal after the game, filed an immediate protest regarding Tamale City's midfielder Isaac Mensah- accusing the player to be double registered. Mensah was transferred to Tamale City on loan but King Faisal claims he should have reverted to his parent club, Hasaacas and have urged the GFA Disciplinary Committee to look into the matter very well to reveal the truth with no any form of distortions.

Reacting to those allegations, Mohammed Iddi has disclosed categorically clear that, the claims made are deceptive and has highlighted deeply as to why they have done no such thing to warrant any punishment. He told Oyerepa FM in Kumasi;

"Isaac Mensah is a Tamale City player and there’s no doubt about that. We took him from Hasaacas in the 2019/20 season and he was not released for us on loan."

"Because if you release a player on loan, you must specifically make sure that all documents are about the loan.

“Isaac didn’t have a contract with Hasaacas, he was released to us and we registered him. He has been with us for the past three seasons.

"When asked about the player registered as Jireh Kojo Nissi, Mohammed Iddi responded, "As the CEO of Tamale City, I don't know, I'm not aware of that."

The Citizens have been really impressive recently having gone without a defeat in their last five matches which had tougher clashes against both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Umar Mohammed's men are currently lurking around the 13th position on the table with 39 points and will hope to win their subsequent games to secure survival in their debut season in the topflight.
