Enterprising Hearts of Oak defender Konadu Yiadom says that the Phobian supporters must keep the faith in the team, claiming the club are “on the right path”in their pursuit to win the Ghana Premier League.

Aboubakar Ouattara's side are on a current run of 29 points from 17 league matches, a streak stretching back to match-day 14.

Worse still, Hearts of Oak have scored only seven goals in that time.

However, Yiadom believes that his Rainbow-shirted-lads are on the right track, and will challenge for trophies this season.

The former WAFA centre-back has been restored to the side after spending the early matches on the bench, going ahead to make just three appearances in the ongoing campaign.

“We didn’t start the league well but our fans believed in us and supported us.,” said Yiadom.

“I will plead with them to keep faith with the team until the end of the Premier League season."

Hearts of Oak will face Basake Holy Stars on Sunday, January 26, mid-afternoon, with both sides suffering from sluggish starts to the season. Holy Stars defeated Hearts in the opening match of the 2024/25 Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium.
