Heart of Lions head coach Bashir Hayford says his side face a difficult challenge when they take on Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s match at the Kpando Sports Stadium, Hayford admitted Kotoko are a strong team but insisted his players are ready to fight for a good result.
“It is going to be a very tough game. We cannot underrate anyone,” Hayford told Heart of Lions TV.
“Kotoko are strong and back to their winning ways, but we are preparing very well to match them and aim for a positive result.”
Heart of Lions have struggled in recent weeks, recording just one win, one draw and three defeats in their last five league matches. The 'Dzie Woa Nu' will be hoping to pick up important points to get their season back on track.
Asante Kotoko, on the other hand, come into the game in better form, with two wins, two draws and one loss in their last five league outings. They also claimed an impressive 3–0 win over Basake Holy Stars in their previous match.
After 20 games, Heart of Lions sit seventh on the table with 27 points. Kotoko are second with 35 points, eight behind leaders Medeama SC, and will be looking to keep up the pressure at the top of the table.
