Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, has expressed his admiration for their upcoming opponents, Bechem United FC, in the 2023-24 Ghana Premier League season.
Ogum commended Bechem United's strong spirit and anticipated a challenging encounter as they face Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi during week seven of the league.
"We all know Bechem is a solid and very physical side, which is typical of them. They have a very die hard spirit where they want to stretch the game to the end and matches between these two sides have always been very exciting and very unpredictable and very uncompromising”
He emphasized the need for an aggressive and determined approach, ensuring they maintain possession, exhibit creativity during build-up and midfield play, and convert opportunities efficiently. Ogum believes that simplicity is key, and their ability to create and use spaces while connecting with the right players will be vital for success.
He noted, "To me, we have to be very aggressive, very committed, very determined and make sure that we make it simple on the day. I always tell them that beautiful things are simple and simple things are beautiful, we just have to make sure that we create the spaces and use the spaces and connect to the right players in position to score at the right time” he said.
