The official mouthpiece of Kumasi Asante Kotoko is in debt of Gh¢250,000 according to Mr. Jerome Octhere, an associate editor.
The readers of Kotoko Express have not been seeing their favourite newspaper on the various newsstands due to financial constraints.
Kickgh.com reached Mr. Jerome Otchere for the paper absence and he revealed that Kotoko Express is owing the Graphic Communications group and five month salary of the employers of the paper to the tune of Gh¢ 250,000 cedis [2.5billion old cedis]
"We owe the printers of the newspaper Gh¢ 167, 000 and the rest is what the workers are owed"
"Likely the club board of directors will meet on Friday and we have issued problems that we are facing to the board and they assured us they will deliabrate on it" he explained to Kickgh.com.
"Until the outstanding debt is resolved the paper will not come out"
