Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara has earned another call-up to the Guinea national team ahead of the March international window.
The Syli Nationale will buttress heads with Togo and Benin, all in international friendly matches assess the strengths of the team ahead of subsequent competitive assignments.
This marks Camara’s second invitation to the senior national team, having received his maiden national team call-up in November last year when they played Liberia and Niger.
The lanky shot-stopper remains Kotoko’s first-choice goalkeeper and has been central to their campaign despite recent criticism from sections of the fanbase especially after the Super-Clash against their eternal rivals Hearts of Oak weeks ago.
However, he responded strongly in their last game against Vision FC, producing a man-of-the-match performance to help the Porcupine Warriors secure a point at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The upcoming friendlies are scheduled to be honoured later this month, giving Camara another opportunity to solidify his place and become a mainstay in the Guinea team.
