Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong has tipped his former club as the favourites over Hearts of Oak heading into the SuperClash on Sunday.
Both teams haven't been really impressive and are still having relegation staring at them with four matches to play and are all so desperate and determined to win in order to better their position on the table.
With three defeats and two wins from their last five matches, the 'Phobians' are very much aware of their current situation and will definitely approach this game with so much eagerness as they hope to win to redeem themselves.
However, the Porcupine Warriors have also lost twice, won twice and a draw in their last five games, and will also play their hearts out this time to snatch the three points and also the bragging rights
Speaking on Takoradi-based Connect FM, the former experienced lateral has stated Kotoko are the favourites but has cautioned them to be wary of Hearts of Oak since they are capable of pulling surprises on any good day.
"Any of the teams can be relegated and because of the bragging rights, they will give their all on the day. The players will come into the game with."
"Games involving the two sides is always difficult but this time, Kotoko looks favourite based on their last three games’ performance as compared to Hearts of Oak."
“They need to keep their composure in front of goal. I have watched them and they create a lot but for their composure, they would have scored more.
“When most people expect Kotoko to beat Hearts of Oak in Kumasi is when the latter shows up and delivers,” he concluded
The game is scheduled for 15:00GMT (3:00pm) at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
