Kumasi Asante Kotoko winger, Frank Sarfo Gyamfi, feels his best player award for the month of July will serve as an extra motivation and will ginger him to put up more of his best for his side in the rest of their league fixtures.

The 23-year-old speedster is sanguine his award diadem for the month will boost his confidence level in order to help his outfit to finish stronger in the ongoing league season.

The month of July has been a month to forget by the Porcupine Warriors following their slump in form since the second round of the campaign.

"First of all, I'll like to express my gratitude to the team management and the fans as well. I feel honoured and extra motivated to have been voted as the best player of the month of July. I thank them all once again," the former Maritzburg United wide man told Kickgh.com in an exclusive interview.

"As a Kotoko player, I always try to give out my best to the club and I think this award will also ginger me more to continue giving out my best. All that I'm hoping for now is to see Kotoko moving in the right direction," he added.

The 23-year-old ex-U20 star is sure that his side can still win the league title in spite of their setbacks in their previous games.

"No doubt that we've struggled in some games since we started the second half of the season," Sarfo admitted.

"But we still believe in ourselves that we can win the league title this season. Looking at the points gap between we(Kotoko) and the first team of which of course is very marginal, I think it's clear that we stand the chance to oust them from the top spot on the league table as we try to win the title,"

"So,we're still going to keep fighting for the trophy till the season's end," he declared.

Sarfo Gyamfi has clinched two individual awards this season.
