Kudjoe Fianoo, President of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has stated that the injection of youthfulness brought a spark to the various clubs which made the league quite competitive.

Fianoo believes that although there were few lapses, in all the league ended on an impressive note.

"In general, I think it was a good season. With the exception of a few isolated cases I think it was generally good. Hooliganistic issues were not on the rise as well as a few officiating issues," he told Peace FM.

"It was really competitive as well between the title contenders and the relegation-threatened sides in the dying embers of the game. Looking at the challenges the clubs faced financially, the teams did well."

The Ghana Premier League (GPL) ended last Sunday with an array of theatrical happenings at the various league centres as Medeama SC toppled to clinch the title on the final match day with a 3-0 win over demoted Tamale City.

Aduana Stars, Bechem United and Asante Kotoko finished in the top four peckings with King Faisal, Tamale City and Kotoku Royals being relegated to the Division One League.
