Recently, there have been reports linking former Black Stars coach, Kwesi Appiah, to the vacant coaching position at Asante Kotoko, which has garnered much attention and speculation within the football community.
Despite Appiah's past involvement with the national team as both a player and coach, he denied any approach or contact regarding the job.
“No. Nobody has approached or contacted me for the job,” he told Ghanasportspage.com
Asante Kotoko recently fired coach Seydou Zerbo after losing to Medeama SC, and Abdul Gazale has been appointed as caretaker coach.
In their latest match, Kotoko drew 1-1 with Legon Cities at El Wak Stadium and will face Real Tamale United on Sunday at Aliu Mahama Stadium.
