Kwame Opoku, former Asante Kotoko striker, is very close to rejoining the club with negotiations already in advanced stage between both parties, per exclusive reports in the local media.
The 25-year-old's first spell with the Porcupine Warriors was in 2020 where he joined from Nkoranza Warriors and had a very impressive start in Kumasi.
He netted seven goals in sixteen matches in the Ghana Premier League before joining Algerian side USM Algers after the first round - where he was also involved in eight goals in a half season.
However, the deadly striker since hasn't really found his rhythm having also battled injuries at some point in his career and is now fully fit and ready to return to competitive action.
Kwame Opoku has already agreed personal terms and everything with the 'Kum Apem' outfit and will officially sign his contract in December and then gets into action in the second phase of the ongoing season, reports enterprising journalist Shaban Mohammed.
He last featured actively for Moroccan side Olympique Khourigba on a short term deal in the middle of the 2023/24 season.
