Accra Lions have maintained their place in the Ghanaian top-flight league for next season after securing a convincing home win over Berekum Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

Accra Lions recorded a 2-0 emphatic home victory over Berekum Chelsea in their match-week 32 encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium.

 
The home side displayed a scintillating performance against the one-time Premier League champions to score in both halves of the game.
 
Before the half-hour mark, Remember Adomako Boateng registered his first-ever league goal for Accra Lions with a powerful header via a cross delivered by Isifu Isaka on the 29th minute.
 
Berekum Chelsea had some goal glaring opportunities to level the score in the last ten minutes of the game but an individual brilliance from goalkeeper Frederick Asare denied them from scoring.
 
The first half ended in a 1-0 win for Accra Lions.
 
In the second half, the match looked balanced as both clubs had early incursions to find the back of the net but they failed to utilize them.
 
A stupendous strike from Hagan Frimpong on the 75th minute propelled Accra Ghana to a resounding 2-0 home win over Berekum Chelsea at the Accra Sports Stadium.
 
Accra Lions will be traveling to Tarkwa to face Medeama while Berekum Chelsea host relegation-threatened side Dreams FC on match-day 33 next weekend.
