Accra Lions secured an important away draw at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa after holding Aduana Stars to a one-all draw on Sunday afternoon.

Aduana Stars' hopes of extending their lead on top of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League table was dented by Lions to hold them to a 1-1 stalemate.

 
The Capital based club. opened the score through Salifu Abass Samari on the 43rd minute forcing the first half to end in a 1-0 win for Accra Lions.
 
The visitors enjoyed majority of the possession in the first department of the game frustrating Aduana Stars to concede on the stroke of halftime.
 
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabian made a tactical substitution after the break with the introduction of Solomon Aboagye, Justus Torsuetey, Douglas Owusu Ansah and Alex Boakye to intensify their upfront as they were in search for leveller.
 
Substitute Solomon Aboagye snatched the equalizer for Aduana Stars with a brilliant strike on the 68th minute of the game.
 
Aduana Stars produced an impressive performance in the last twenty minutes of second half but none of their efforts earned them the match-winner.
 
Following the 1-1 draw, Accra Lions have temporarily returned to the top four with 23 points while Aduana Stars maintains their spot on top with 25 points after 14 matches.
