The Porcupine Warriors are back to the second position with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Accra Lions at Baba Yara Stadium in the last fixture of Ghana Premier League match-day 14
The homesters obviously were going dominate the opening minutes of the game with Rashid Nortey trying to combine with Morrison in just three minutes from kickoff but the final effort was blocked.
Quick response from Accra Lions who created their first goal attempt on the 6th minute after skipper Nsobila picked up Samari with a fine ball but got disrupted by Maxwell Agyemang to a wasted corner kick.
Kotoko continued mounting so much pressure which eventually grabbed them the opener on the 23rd minute through Rashid Nortey- who scored his first goal in the red shirt.
Just three minutes after, Ugandan international Steven Mukwala doubled the lead for the host with a beautiful finish to mark his seventh of the season.
In the second half, Kotoko started explosively and registered their third in just four minutes from the break through Steven Mukwala who tapped in at a close range from Augustine Agyapong's ground cross.
Accra Lions came so close to reducing the deficit but substitute Abdul Basit had his strike dealt with nicely by Frederick Asare to a wasted corner kick.
Enoch Morrison finally sealed the win with a cool finish on the 57th minute after cutting in beautifully from the right flanks to send a strong hit of which goalkeeper Andrews Owusu failed to deal with.
It finished 4-0 for Kotoko after full time who have now climbed up to the second position with 27 points.
