The Porcupine Warriors continued their pres-season exercise for the 2022/23 season with a victory over third-tier outfit Ghana Army FC in Accra on Friday morning.

Asante Kotoko are currently in the nation's capital preparing for the 2022/23 CAF Champions League and the Ghana Premier League season scheduled to commence next month.

 
Stop-gap coach Abdulai Gazeli handed starting berths to newly-signed goalkeeper Frederick Asare, Augustine Agyapong, Mubarik Yusif Andrews Appau and new left-back Nicholas Osei Bonsu in defence
 
Emmanuel Sarkodie, Enoch Morrison, Dickson Afoakwa, Isaac Oppong, Shadrach Addo, and Steven Mukwala all started.
 
Kotoko showed their intentions clear early in the game as they opened the scoring in the 4th minute through Shadrach Addo, who is on trial.
 
Addo scored a great goal after a fantastic build-up from the midfield.
 
Isaac Oppong, who had a wonderful start to last season, increased Kotoko’s tally to 2 with a sublime finish in the 26th minute.
 
With two minutes to end the first half, Dickson Afoakwa netted Kotoko’s third goal with a towering header.
 
Kotoko paraded a new set of players for the second stanza of the game.
 
Cameroonian shot-stopper MoisePouaty started in posts with Samuel Appiah, Christopher Nettey, Abdul Ganiyu, and Mohammed Sharif in defence.
 
The rest were Richard Boadu, Serge Eric Zeze, Dickson Afoakwa, Ernest Osei Bonsu, and Sarfo Taylor.
