Following a goalless first half and a spirited performance by the home side who started the day in the 10th spot as Christopher Ennin’s Blues finally broke the deadlock in the 65th minute through Collins Ameyaw.
Samartex failed to take advantage of their away strength as they succumbed to the defeat at the Golden City Park.
For Chelsea who have now annexed their eighth win on the road this season, it was a welcome result, they upped their tally to 28 points whilst Samartex are 10th on 26 points.
