Despite playing at home, Berekum Chelsea were unable to capitalize on their advantage and had to settle for a draw against Tamale City at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
Tamale City took the lead with a goal from Justice Mensah after 22 minutes and held on to their one-goal lead until halftime.
Although it seemed as though Tamale City would take home all three points, Berekum Chelsea managed to score a late equalizer through Mezack Afriyie, who now has 11 goals for the team this season.
The match ended in a draw, with Berekum Chelsea hoping for a win on their home turf.
Despite the result, they remain in 8th place on the league table with 33 points, while Tamale City are in 15th place with 28 points after 23 matches played.
