Legon Cities continued their fight to escape Ghana Premier League relegation with slim victory over Hearts of Oak at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
Hearts of Oak succumbed to their third straight defeat to the Royals in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League match-week 32 fixture on Sunday afternoon.
Legon Cities opened the scoring through Kofi Kordzi who punished the backline of his former club on the stroke of halftime.
Kordzi's goal in the 45+3 minutes became the only goal recorded in the fixture, which has moved Legon Cities to eleventh position.
Hearts of Oak tried their lucks in the second half with the hopes of levelling the score to leave the El-Wak Sports Stadium with at least a point but their efforts went futile.
The match ended in a 1-0 win for Legon Cities to keep their Premier League survival hopes alive.
