Kotoku Royals failed to boost their survival hopes after recording a blank score line against Real Tamale United at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu on Saturday afternoon.
Much was expected from the relegation trodden lads to at least make their teeming fans happy with a win but nothing worked for them on the day.
The Northern Blues came into the game to deny Kotoku a home win and they achieved just that.
Neither team failed to generate the momentum needed to pull out victory on the day as the game was limited on scoring opportunities.
Both halves produced lackadaisical performances and RTU looked the happier side after the centre referee brought proceedings to an end.
RTU earned a vital point which has moved them to the 10th spot on 36 points. On the other end, struggling Kotoku Royals in a way failed to boost their chances of staying in the Ghanaian top flight as they find themselves on the red light, beeping to be bundled out of the premier league if they come up short in their remaining round of matches.
